We are looking for a talented bilingual Content Designer with experience in content management systems, and the design and development of communication materials to support our regional communications in Central America, Mexico, and The Caribbean. The position will work closely with the regional communications team as well as Program Managers and the Development team to enhance our visibility and communicate our impacts across the region.

The position will be located preferably in Guatemala, but we’re accepting applications from Mexico, and Honduras as well. 


Support the communication area of ​​Solidaridad Central America, México and the Caribbean in the design of presentations and communications material, and institutional content design for Solidaridad and the programs developed in the region,  and also support in the management of communication channels (websites).

Specific tasks include but are not limited to:

Production of institutional content:

  • Elaboration of institutional content - about Solidaridad and the projects/programs developed in the region
  • Collaborate in the production of support material for the projects (presentations, folders, etc.)
  • Production of content from field trips, events, etc.
  • Support in the preparation and consolidation of reports
  • Collaborate with colleagues on content development
  • Support in planning, design image and campaigning for events 

Regional and global communication

  • Support in the elaboration of communication material for Solidaridad in Central America, Mexico and Caribbean and alignment and production of content for Solidaridad's global network
  • Alignment of all communication from Central America to Solidaridad's global branding guides (text, layout, images)
  • Support in new APPs and web design 

Communication channels

  • Production of material for local communication channels - Linked In, Intranet, and websites in English and Spanish
  • Wix-based website administration and maintenance
  • Design and configuration of mailing campaigns using Mailchimp
  • Collaborate with the implementation social media strategy at country and regional levels
  • Contact and manage print suppliers regionally

Support in the systematization and consolidation of indicators for communication

  • Production of reference and communication materials (fact sheets, releases, presentations etc.)

Support in graphic designs

  • Support in defining the scope of projects (format, approach, visual aspects)
  • Design of presentations and communications materials (pamphlets, posters, training materials, etc.)
  • Support in the monitoring and final consolidation of graphic projects (titles, calls, subtitles)
  • Manage and edit image library
  • Creation of new icons and graphics and adaptation from pre made illustrations library or stock media.
  • Design infographics.
  • Mediate large blocks of content into pedagogical resources.

Support for audiovisual projects

  • Support in defining the scope of projects (format, approach, visual aspects)
  • Support in the definition of scripts, production and editorial alignment


Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be solution-oriented, and have strong analytical skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and meet pressing deadlines. Candidates will have the ability to work in a team-oriented environment and travel regionally on an occasional basis. The Content Designer will report directly to Solidaridad’s Regional Communications Manager.


  • Degree in graphic design, and communication knowledge
  • Fully bilingual English and Spanish capacity required: high-level  proficiency in written English a significant plus
  • Demonstrated track record in  editorial and materials design, content development
  • Minimum 2 years of experience 
  • Design knowledge and audiovisual resources
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as a team member and take action

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Service-oriented, pragmatic, flexible, with good communication and collaboration skills
  • Willingness to take on new challenges as the organization evolves and opportunities emerge
  • Advance level in: InDesign, Illustrator and Gsuite. Comfortable using Photoshop and PowerPoint. Mailchimp and Wix is a plus. 
  • Interest in data management from digital platforms (mailchimp, google analytics and SEO)  is a plus.
  • Must be able to legally work in Guatemala, Mexico or Honduras.
