The National Center for State Courts (NCSC) is seeking a Honduran national for an experienced logistics expert position on a project funded by the U.S. Department of State, INL Bureau and Law Enforcement funded project in Honduras.
Candidates must have experience in logistical and administrative support duties associated with participant training activities. Experience in supporting the implementation of fast paced, detail intensive, and multi-activity based logistical projects where routine activities include, but are not limited to: travel documents, travel advances, airline tickets, ground transportation, lodging, meals, training facility arrangements, and database management required.
Supervision Received and Exercised
The Travel Assistant will report to the Sr. Travel and Logistics Specialist; however, will also receive instructions from the Country Director and work closely with the Finance Unit.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The duties listed in each category below are not exhaustive but are representative of the range of duties and responsibilities for the position.
Prior experience in international donor-funded rule of law projects preferred;
Maintain up-to-date information on counterparts and activities;
Maintain accurate and timely records of all participants in the project database;
Work with the Sr. Travel and Logistics Specialist and project staff to ensure that financial documents are up-to-date and accurate.
Demonstrated reporting, writing, communication, and relationship management skills required; English language proficiency preferred.
Qualifications and Experience
A minimum of a Bachelor Degree in business administration, marketing or allied fields is required.
A minimum of two years demonstrated experience in logistics, travel and transportation activities in development projects, government or business offices is required;
Knowledge of travel logistics and accommodation facilities.
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs is required.
Must be skilled in using office software, including word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software.
Must be skilled in organizing tasks and timelines with multiple deadlines, setting priorities and problem solving to mitigate conflicting deadlines.
Must be able to work as a team.
